Key Responsibilities:
● Prospect, visit, and engage with farm owners and operators to understand their energy needs and offer tailored solar energy solutions.
● Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the solar energy industry, including product knowledge, incentives, and regulatory requirements.
● Conduct on-site assessments and energy audits to determine the feasibility of solar installations and present comprehensive proposals to potential clients.
● Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, managing leads from initial contact to contract closure.
● Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective sales strategies, marketing materials, and campaigns to drive lead generation.
● Prepare accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts for management.
● Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings.
Qualifications:
● Proven sales experience, preferably in the solar energy or related industry, is a significant advantage if seeking a base salary.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
● Self-motivated and results-oriented with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, including solar panels, inverters, and energy storage systems, is a plus.
● A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to farms and customer locations.
● Knowledge of local and state regulations and incentives related to solar energy is beneficial.
● Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
